I have known Barbara for over 10 years, and we have used her reading program to teach all three of our school-aged children. I cannot say enough good things about her! She is the perfect reading teacher, because she has endless amounts of patience. I know that she has worked with kids of all ages, even my daughter, who was only four when she started lessons with Barbara. Her reading program is perfect for older kids who are struggling to learn to read in a normal school setting, and it is also great for first time readers of any age. It is phonics-based, and very thorough. Personally, I have benefited from the program as well, because I have learned a lot of phonics rules that I never learned in school. On top of our weekly Skype lessons (which are really convenient), Barbara gives me pointers and ideas for working with my daughter on my own. Also, she is an Ocean Grove Vendor. Barbara was the teacher I had been looking for a long time! She is a really sweet and caring teacher. My eight-year old son improved his English reading and writing over the course of the year.
